In the midst of a unique and enchanting celebration, the Three-Day Party of All Saints and Day of the Dead, two spectral mariachi bands made a haunting appearance as they crossed the border into America. Meet Skeletonichi Mariachi and Cassalanichi Mariachi, each with their own distinctive flair.
Skeletonichi Mariachi, adorned in vibrant, marigold-trimmed charro outfits, stood as the embodiment of the Day of the Dead. Their faces painted in intricate calavera designs, they wielded spectral guitars and trumpets that produced hauntingly beautiful melodies. Their presence bridged the realm of the living and the dead, a testament to the Mexican tradition of honoring departed loved ones with music, dance, and remembrance.

About Bencasso B

Benjamin Barnes, aka Bencasso Barnesquiat (a comical play on the names of famous artists) is a musician and artist based in San Francisco, CA. He received his Bachelor's and Master's of Music Degrees from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where he studied with renowned teachers such as Sherry Kloss, Marlon Carlson, Izzy Tinkleman, Paul Hersh, Zaven Melikian, and Don Ehrlich. In addition to his classical training, Ben also studied electric violin, jazz performance, and composition with David Balakrishnan of the Turtle Island String Quartet.
