Description
Skeletonichi Cowboy Stalked at Bus Stop Print by Bencasso B adds a note of unease to the poetic stillness of the Skeletonichi series. A masked violinist in tuxedo and cowboy hat performs on a quiet city sidewalk. Behind him a second figure emerges from the shadows half watching half passing by. The moment is ambiguous but charged and the performance suddenly feels fragile.
Lit by the diffused glow of a nearby bus stop the scene seems paused between ritual and rupture. The masked violinist remains poised bowed in mid stroke committed to the sound while the observer adds a layer of voyeurism mystery or tension. The city blurs around them yet this silent choreography draws all attention.
This work blends performance and surveillance dignity and danger. It asks what it means to be visible what it means to create while being watched and whether masks protect us or expose us further.
Bencasso B delivers a haunting meditation on presence and perception the kind only city corners and twilight can provide.
