Misfortune Wall Art

Series of 6 paintings by Bencasso Barnesquiat with original music by Ben Barnes recorded by the band he used to be lead singer and electric violinist: Deadweight. The series is a six painting story of the struggle and turmoil of a bipolar rock star who at heart is a rodeo clown. Anger, the first painting is personified by the Devil, who also is representative of the Bull at a rodeo, which the second painting -Rodeo Clown- depicts a man trying to make the crowd laugh, while doing dangerous work trying to save the "Rodeo Icon" 3rd painting. His back is turned to the audience as he walks toward the "Rodeo Icon" bull rider, who has been gored by the "devil bull", his violin under his left arm in rest position, his back to the audience like Miles Davis, feigning that "nothing was wrong" while he struggles with the fear of impending doom, sadness at the loss of his friend the bull rider, who has catastrophic injuries, and the 4th painting is "Grief" for which the "Rodeo Clown" is off duty walking with his violin in rest position, unable to play for the morbid despair has gripped him as he walks away from "Anger" or fate, personified as the devil with bull horns, "who is on his footsteps" ("Misfortune" poem by Benjamin Barnes) and into the role of Icon, split in two, a good side and a bad sidle, going to to the ugliness of laughter used to cover the feelings of terrible loss and physical pain, a strategy Bencasso used as he was rescued from under the BART train which had hit him so hard his shoes were knocked off, but as the paramedics are saving him, he makes jokes and feigns the strength required to overcome his fear of death, which the "Icon Bull Rider" lies in a pool of his own blood, ripped in half by the bull's sharp, devilishly personified "Anger" with his the "Rodeo Clown's" bow in his right hand, teasing "Rodeo Clown" to make light of his emotional distress. "Anger Grief Iconic Rodeo Clown" 2020 Bencasso Barnesquiat ~ "Misfortune" Deadweight music and lyrics based on a poem by Benjamin Barnes ~ 1999 recording 1990 poem/lyrics: Misfortune: Fate is on my footsteps so I will walk lightly. Be careful where I go to and leave my troubles behind me Miles have bent my fortune on the martyr's lonesome path Time has left me wicked and the distance shaped my past Why must misfortune always lead my feet I guess I'll never know for sure Why must misfortune always lead my feet I guess I'll never know for sure Silence says to Solitude "Let's ask him one more question" Hell answer with a fallacy making no real connection Commuter Collage is an art livestream that shows how to make music videos from paintings and digital art used in "still animation".
